Transplant Recipient - Organ
Due to a rare disease which damaged my lungs, I was in desperate need of a double lung transplant to survive. On May 12, 2015, I received a chance to live my best life. Fear almost cost me my life. However, organ transplantation saved my life. I wrote a book entitled Unkle Earl: A Double Lung Transplant Recipient's Story of Survival to provide education to others, especially vulnerable communities that often face social, mental, physical and health disparities that transplantation and organ donation saves lives.
