When Rob was 40 years old, his kidney failed because of brittle Diabetes since the age of 19. Dialysis was terrible and I thought he would die soon. So, I decided to give him a kidney, so he could get off dialysis and live again. It worked out! The kidney was successful. I got him started. Since then he needed another kidney and he got one from the List. And now, unfortunately, he is back on dialysis again. But he is now 54 years old and has had a good quality of life from the first kidney -- better than the other option. The photo here is Rob and me playing Bingo at an event. He played bingo for 3 hours and had a great time.
